Director of Recycling Services, Kal Tire
As a lifelong entrepreneur, Scott has created, operated, managed, and adapted to many diverse businesses over the past 30 years, with emphasis in the tyre recycling industry. In 1995 Scott developed and constructed a tyre pyrolysis process that formed the basis of his interest in the industry. Since 1997 he has designed, supervised construction, operated or managed expansions at 11 whole tyre to crumb rubber facilities.
Since 2015, Scott has been a consultant to Kal Tire and is leading their recycling project build out of their mining tyre recycling facility in Chile and is investigating the potential for this process on several other continents. These facilities will be the first of their kind in the world.
Additionally, he is also the owner of a clean tech company which is focusing on renewable energy and energy storage and manufacturing industrial products from plant-based sources which would replace products traditionally made from petroleum feedstock.
