Natascha Viljoen

Group Head Processing, Anglo American

Natascha is responsible for Group Processing, a global function which provides specialist technical support and service for safe and sustained operational performance, to optimise resource and capital utilisation and to realize value from Anglo American’s endowment through implementation of step change technologies and processes.

Natascha holds a Metallurgical Engineering degree from North West University (University of Potchefstroom) in South Africa and an Executive MBA from the University of Cape Town (Cum Laude).   She serves on advisory boards at the University of Cape Town, Stellenbosch, Pretoria and the JKMRC in Brisbane and has previously held a non-executive position on the Kumba Board.

Her experience stretches globally across most commodities and disciplines in the mining industry including Sustainability, Mining, Processing, Marketing, Strategy Development and External Relations & Communications.  Prior to her role at Anglo American her career developed through roles held at ISCOR, Anglo Gold, Anglo Platinum, Samancor Chrome, BHPBilliton and Lonmin.  Most of these roles were in operations with the last 4 years being technically focused.
