Underground Major Projects Superintendent, St Barbara Limited
Daniel Hennessy is a mining engineer with over 20 years’ experience in underground hard rock mining. He is currently the Underground Major Projects Superintendent at St Barbara’s Gwalia gold mine. Since joining St Barbara in 2017, Daniel has worked on various mine ventilation and infrastructure projects to facilitate mining at depths beyond 2000mbs. Currently over 1800m deep, Gwalia is amongst the deepest truck haulage gold mines in the world.
A graduate from the Western Australian School of Mines, Daniel has held a number of operational and technical roles in underground mines throughout Western Australia and the Northern Territory.
