Piers Montgomery is a senior analyst with CRU, the leading provider of analysis, prices and consulting in the mining, metals and fertilizer markets. He is responsible for base metals in the Australasia region, providing market intelligence on physical trading flows and mine project development. Piers has 20+ years of experience across natural resources, including roles in sales and marketing and most recently in analysis and strategy. Prior to joining CRU, Piers worked for Anglo American Marketing in their Singapore commercial strategy team and for Societe Generale in both Sydney and London as part of their commodity derivatives desk. Piers has a degree in Economic History from Edinburgh University. He is based in CRU’s Sydney office.
