Emilie Ditton

Pacific Segment Leader - Mining, Minerals & Metals Segment, Schneider Electric

Emilie’s experience spans 20 years of working with industrial companies on their digital transformation. She has focused particularly in this transformation within operations and particularly with mining companies.

Emilie joined Schneider Electric from Capgemini where she was the lead of Capgemini’s strategic consulting Intelligent Industry capability group. In this role she lead building the capability and working with clients on their asset, operations and supply chain transformations – with a particular focus on the energy transition. Before Capgemini, Emilie was part of analyst firm IDC for over ten years setting up and then leading IDC’s mining sector practice of strategic research and consulting globally as well as leading a team of analysts covering utilities, oil and gas and manufacturing in the Asia Pacific region. With her team, Emilie provided technology led advisory to both mining companies and their suppliers across equipment, software and hardware as they navigated the application of industry 4.0 based transformations. At the core her research focus centred on the relationship between efficiency, resiliency, sustainability and technology led transformation, and included supporting companies in developing their transformation roadmaps and providing best practice transformational/technology advisory, working with mining companies in particular. As mining companies face into the energy transition – their strategy, operating model and energy supply and demand choices will be directly impacted by the maturity and capabilities relating to deep data competency within mining operations.

Emilie is a Chemical Engineer with a passion for helping clients to find the pathways across the technology ecosystem, and through people and process change. She is a collaborator, enjoying the journey of building the ecosystem, and in doing so building strong performing capablities that can support the transformation journey that mining organisations are on.
