This three hour interactive workshop, is aimed at small and medium sized METS companies who want to develop, expand upon and freshen up their marketing approach. Focused purely on the METS sector and leveraging B2B marketing experience from several METS Marketing and Communications Managers, this workshop is designed for business owners, general managers, or marketers within SME METS companies, who wish to learn from others the most impactful and cost-effective ways of promoting your company offerings. Topics to be covered will include, but not be limited to: content marketing; social marketing; leveraging event sponsorships and exhibitions; customer data analytics.

The format of the workshop will be a mix of strategic presentations, case studies offered by Marketing and Communications Managers currently working for Austmine members and interactive sessions that allow you to practically work through some of the ideas in relation to your company.

Guest Speakers within the Workshop Include:

Matthew Smith, Managing Director, Creative Plantation

Matthew will present to the workshop participants on leveraging customer insights to improve your marketing return. The concept of customer insights is a simple one. It is compiling quantitative and qualitative data to develop a picture of who your customer is, where they are buying and why they choose to purchase your product or service.  Matthew will discuss how putting this concept into practice can not only transform marketing and sales strategies but also provide a valuable stream of data and information to support your organisation’s innovation imperative.

Megan Edwards, Head of Membership Services, Austmine

Megan will discuss a range of cost-effective marketing tools and channels that SME METS could and should use to help promote themselves. Having worked with over 400 METS companies over the past decade, Megan will provide insights into great examples of METS communicating their capabilities.

Nicole Belbin, Senior Marketing Advisor, SRK Consulting (Australasia)

Nicole has over ten years’ experience in services marketing, six of these in a professional services (B2B) advisory role. As part of this workshop Nicole will present on her experiences with content marketing, to get participants thinking about how they could incorporate content into their broader marketing strategies.

Kristy Hamilton, Marketing Manager, SmartCap

Kristy Hamilton is responsible for the overall marketing strategy for SmartCap Technologies brand and products. During her 12 months with the company, Kristy has successfully launched SmartCap’s new generation product, Life by SmartCap at an international level and continues to focus on driving brand and product awareness through traditional and digital marketing channels as well as Public Relations.
