Champion of Innovation Award
The purpose of this award is to recognise an individual’s contribution to innovation in the mining and METS industry across their career. Whether it’s innovation in the form of invention, process, strategy, marketing, productivity or any other aspect, we want to acknowledge individuals who have pioneered and championed innovation to help make this industry what it is today. Nominations must come through a company, or another individual.
Austmine Innovation Award for METS Only Open to Austmine Members
The Austmine Innovation Award for METS was our most popular award in 2015. Austmine prides itself on promoting innovation in METS and mining, and the purpose of this award is to recognise a new innovative product, process or strategy that has been developed that truly stands out from the crowd in terms of wider implications for mining operations or the industry as a whole. A maximum of one product or service can be nominated per company for this award.
Austmine Innovation Award for Miners Only Miners or Austmine Members can Nominate/Apply
This award launched in 2015 and was introduced to acknowledge innovation being implemented, introduced or driven by mining companies. Miners are obviously critical to driving innovation, either through internal development, fast adoption of innovative technologies or processes, or innovation in the approach to collaboration. We encourage Austmine members to nominate clients who have embraced innovation, or senior managers within mining companies to nominate their teams who deserve recognition for their innovative improvements or strategies.
The Craig Senger Excellence in Export Award Only Open to Austmine Members
This award celebrates excellence in export of Mining, Equipment, Technology and Services (METS) globally. This is the fifth time this award will be presented and it is given in memory of Austrade Trade Commissioner Craig Senger who was a champion of exporting METS and was tragically killed in a terrorist attack on a hotel in Jakarta in July, 2009. For many METS companies to truly thrive, exporting to overseas mining markets is a critical, and there is strong global awareness of Australia’s impressive mining and services capabilities.
